Chad and I went on a date to Bear Lake last night. We made the long drive up there and hung out on the beach for a little bit and then it was time to go eat dinner and see a show. Our good friends Chelsea and JR Haynie used to perform and Pickleville Playhouse but now that they live in Ohio they're not able to. Chelsea's family members still perform and run the show there though. It is so fun and always worth the drive. So if you ever get the chance to go to Pickleville Playhouse...DO IT!!! So Chelsea hooked us up with tickets for dinner and a play. The dinner was yummy and the show was AWESOME!!! It was Thoroughly Modern Millie and it was funny. We had a great time minus the white knuckle ride back through Logan Canyon with eyes wide open looking for dear and getting home at 12:30 in the morning. Thanks so much Chelsea...I wish you would've been there.

King Family Olympics
I know I'm a little behind and out of order but I wanted to put these pictures in. On Sunday the 17... we held the first ever King Family Olympics. I was not able to go because I had strep and I was down for the count. But Chad and the kids went and by the looks of things...they had a blast!! I really wish that I could've been there to see in person, but the pictures are really pretty good.
My Big First Grader
Riley had her first day of first grade yesterday. I was a little nervous but I knew that she'd be fine. I even went back to her school to take some disinfectant wipes that I signed up to supply for the classroom and I walked across the playground. I found Riley playing with a little girl about 100 yards away from me. I thought that I made eye contace with her and waved to her but she didn't see me...or so I thought...and she just went on playing. When she got home that day I told her I was at her school and saw her playing on the playground and I waved but she didn't see me. She said oh I saw you mom. I said well why didn't you wave to me or come say hi? She said she didn't know. Wow she's already embarrassed to be seen with me. I guess I won't be going back to her school anytime soon. She was so excited though and she was worn out by the time she got home. I can't believe my baby is in first grade!!!

I'm going back to Cali
We went back to California a couple weeks ago and we of course had a GREAT time!!! We went there because my oldest nephew Mckay got baptized and then his baby sister Kylie was blessed. The best thing was that we ALL were able to go down at the same time. That's unusual...but we did it and it was a lot of FUN!! The first day we were there we went to the lake and had my brother Jeff's boat and my Aunt Gail's boat and a jet ski... needless to say...there was A LOT of fun and a lot of crashes. I for one have never hit anything harder then when I hit the water the last time and flew out of the wake-board and got the wind knocked out of me.I thought that my face was broken for sure. But we still had a ton of fun. There are a lot of pictures to catch up on...so ENJOY!!!
Papa and Grandma with ALL of their Great Grandkids
We got our family pictures taken on Saturday. They turned out pretty cute. I love the one with my grandparents and all of the great grandkids. It was so neat to have everyone together all at the same time especially with ALL four of the new babies. I'm surprised at how good everyone was for the pictures too. Not a single person cried.
Hold on TIGHT girls...Mommy's driving!!!
On one of the last nights there, we took one of the carts up to the top of the hill on my grandparents' property. It's so pretty up there and it is one of my most favorite spots ever. We took the kids up with us because we wanted them to see the turkeys. The wild turkeys roost in the same tree at the same time every single night. So we took a ride and sat and watched as one by one, they came up over the top of the hill, walked slowly to the tree, and then for a brief few seconds got airborne and flew to their spot in the tree. Those things are prehistoric looking. The girls were excited about their turkey feathers though.
Then
Now
We went back to Lake Tahoe and stayed in the same Inn that we stayed in when we were there on our honeymoon. We LOVE that place!!! It's the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It was fun to get back there and do some of the same things we did while we were there 7 years ago. I think that we DID spend more time OUT of our room this time though.

Fun at the Splash Pad...
Cami, Hadlie, Tage, Riley, Daxton
Tage and Cami are going to get married too...somebody's got to tame that gut though...GEEZE Tage!!!
While Chad was gone to scout camp, I took my kids and my best friend Jen and her kids up on base to this little water park they have there. It's totally FUN and totally FREE. So we get up there and there was nobody there. The kids had a blast and were not ready to leave. We'll definately have to do that more often.

At the parade waiting for the candy to fly
Cami on the way down to Spanish Fork. She looks so cute with the big head phones on.
Is it too late to blog about the 24 of July??? I know I'm out of order but I still have to put my pictures in right? So the kids and Chad and I all went with our AWESOME friends the Robertsons to Spanish Fork...Their home town...GO DONS!!! We got down there on the 23 and had dinner with Sam's Family and met all of them...which was great because now I can put a face to a name. Then we went over to Jen's family's house and spent the night there. The morning of the 24 Sam and Jen ran in the Speedy Spaniard 10 K race. They did great. A lot better then I can do. Run Baby Run!!! After that we got ready and went down to the park for lunch and a Hawaiian Ice and some window shopping. We got hot and went back to the house to cool off and relax. Later we went to a movie called Space Chimps...we didn't have high hopes that it was going to be good... but it turned out to be a cute flick. The kids really liked it. Then we ate dinner at Sam's house and then came back home for some much needed rest. Thanks Rockin' Robertsons for a great 24th.

Who NEEDS swim suits?...
The girls were in the backyard one night playing and I guess the swimming pool was just too tempting and the pull was so strong that they got wet before they were able to think logically and get a suit on. Oh well right... I love moments like this. Isn't it way more fun to go swimming spur of the moment with clothes on? So fun!!
Always Be Prepared...
There is a mommy moose and a baby moose in this picture. It didn't turn out very well though.
Chad went to scout camp this week. He was gone from Wednesday to Saturday. He packed up his hiking backpack the night before, complete with Easy Mac, Cup O' Noodles, hot chocolate and instant oatmeal. Oh yeah and let's not forget...toilet paper!!! He had a great time and missed me terribly of course. When he got home I made him jump in the shower because he smelled like bug spray, sweat and dirt. YUCK!!! The kids and I had a fun time by ourselves this weekend. We went swimming up on base and played with friends and lost sleep...all fabulous memories.
