I took Trevor to the Dr. the other day because he had a bad cough and nasty nose. The Dr. said that he might have RSV. Thank heavens that came back negative. Now he's being treated for athsma. The Dr. said that whenever he gets a cold his athsma flares up and causes symptoms like RSV and bronchitis. So now he has to use a nebulizer for the next 3 months twice a day giving him albuterol and a steroid. We call it his super hero mask and he does a really good job at keeping it on. Poor kid.

The Jaundice Adventure is Over
Paityn was pretty jaundice when we left the hospital so they gave us a perscription to have the light box delivered to our house. The same thing happened to Riley and she was only under the lights for 2 days and 1 night. So I wasn't too worried about it. So we got the lights and set them up and put Paityn inside. She LOVED it. She was soaking in the rays. She would sprawl out all extended and she was comfortable. After 2 days I took her into the doctor and her levels had gone up. So another day under the lights. The next day I took her in again and the levels had gone up. Another two days under the lights. Then back to the doctor. This time they had leveled off and didn't go up but hadn't come down either. Another day under the lights. Back to the dr. The level came down but not far enough so another day under the lights and FINALLY we are done with the light box. I hate that thing. Thank goodness thay have those though. Now our girl is good to go and sleep in her own bed.
Here she is laying out and loving it. Look at her with her hands behind her head.Lights at Temple Square
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Salt Lake and visited Temple Square. After checking into our hotel we went to dinner at Cafe Rio. It was so yummy. After that we got back in the car and headed to temple square. After parking and unloading all the kiddos and getting them all bundled up to brave the cold night, it was my turn to bundle up. I had packed all of the kids' coats and scarves and gloves and even Chad's coat and hat and gloves. When I opened the back of the van to get my coat it wasn't there. I checked the whole car and not a coat could be found. I had left my coat at home. Luckily I had on a sweatshirt which I normally don't do. So I grabbed the blanket from the back and wrapped it around myself and off we went. We walked around and looked at all the lights. The kids were so good and all went well. We weren't there for very long...for obvious reasons...but the spirit was strong and it was neat to see the kids reactions to all the lights. This has definately become a favorite family tradition.
I know I look like a dork with the blanket but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do
The kids had a great time jumping on the beds. We were upgraded to a suite and the kids LOVED the extra space in our room. The mini fridge was a big hit too.
This is me and Trev after Trev fell head first into the pool and I had to jump in and save him...I was fully clothed and soaking wet. But Trevor was safe and that's what counts.
Trev LOVED the swimming pool.

Paityn Lola King Has Arrived!
Well three weeks early is how I like them. I went in on Thursday the 10th at 3:00 faking labor pains. I was having them, they were just self induced. I know...I'm tricky. So we went in and I was still dialated to a 2. The nurse called the doctor and he said to watch me for an hour or two and see if I was going to make any progress. So I walked the halls for an hour and then got checked again. I was only dialated to a 2 1/2 BUT the baby's head was engaged and I was thinned out more. So the doctor said to keep me. An hour later the doctor came to break my water as I was just getting finished hooking up to pitocin. This was at 6:00. He checked me and I was dialated to a 4!! He broke my water and away we went. I was stuck at a 5 1/2 FOREVER and finally made it to a 6 1/2 around 10:30. The next thing I know I'm feeling all sorts of pressure and the nurse comes in and checks me because the baby's heartbeat was reacting to the contractions like she was ready to come. I was at a 10!! In came the dr and the nurses. After one contraction and 2 big pushes, out came Paityn. At 12:25 AM, weighing in at 6 lbs. 7 ozs. and 19 inches long, she's by far my smallest. She looks A LOT like Cami and Trev. We had a long first night barely getting to our at 3:00 in the morning. She is having to be under the lights for jaundice treatment for the next couple of days but other then that she is a happy camper. The kids were so excited to meet her and I was so excited to be home. Paityn is such a good baby and I am so excited and greatful to have her. Take a look at this cute brand new blessing.
Right after she was born...first time she opened her eyes.Thursday, December 3, 2009
Cousins...
This year I forgot my camera on Thanksgiving. We went to Chad's parents' house and celebrated with them and Grandma King and Grandma and Grandpa Call. No other children came but my kids were still entertained. We played a game of Apples to Apples...a few games actually... had a great dinner and even better dessert. The next day we drove to Lehi to spend some time with my brothers. Us along with Andrew and Jenny met at Nate and Penny's house and enjoyed some pizza, more pie for dessert and some more fun and games. All of our kiddos were there and they all played super well with eachother. I can't get over how well Andrew's baby Tanner can talk. He is such a parrot. He's getting way more social with the kids and even let me take some pictures of him. Chloe was super quiet that night and kept to herself and her pie... as you can tell in the picture. Cami and Hailey paired up as well as Riley and Kaelynn and they had an awesome time together. So fun in fact that they decided the fun shouldn't be over and they should continue farther into the night and the next morning. So they had a sleep over. We had a fun weekend in all but I really missed going home for atleast one holiday. Atleast I'll get to see my parents when Paityn decides to come join us. I hope it's soon.

NeW MoOn FeVeR BaBy!!!
Yes, I did it. I went to New Moon on opening night!! Was it worth it? I answer with a high spirited YES!!! I loved the books, but to see it on the big screen in "real life" makes it so much better. New Moon was the hardest book for me to get through. I have always been an Edward fan...until this movie. Now I'm wondering what the heck is Bella's problem. Why anyone would choose a pale non muscles vampire over and tan, built, half dressed warewolf is beyond me! I do realize that it's fake but still. Come on Bella!
So a group of us got together and loaded up in my van (aka the New Moon Party Van) and we went to the Pizza Factory in Ogden at the Junction. We ate dinner there and swindled our way to a free pizza.(Good job Bethanie). Then after a lot of laughs we headed over to the theater and sat down to enjoy the awesomness of the New Moon. We had a fun night and enjoyed ourselves...maybe a little bit too much.

I should've taken more pictures of the van. I wrote on all the windows. Other statements included: Love Bites, Fang or Fur, Bite Me, I love Jacob, I love Edward and New Moon or Bust! While we were in the movies, someone thought they'd be clever and erase some of the letters to say something else. Oh well. Atleast we got this one.

Sewing?..Me?... Ok I'll give it a try!!!
This is my latest crafting adventure. I got this cute pattern from my best friend Jen. She had made these stockings last year and they turned out cute. I just bought a sewing machine and decided I'd give it all a try. Mind you I have NEVER sewn anything before. But although they have their little imperfections, I am still impressed with how cute they turned out. I'm excited to use them this year and see how much Santa will fill mine up for all of my hard work.

Fall Time Fun
The kids wanted to play in the leaves last weekend. We don't have trees in our yard, so this posed a problem. Do you think that stopped us? Nope! Luckily, we have a park behind us with LOTS of trees. Chad loaded the kids in the wagon and we carried a rake with us. It was FREEZING cold outside but the kids still had a blast.

Trev could only handle being partially burried
Chad and all the kids. We had the girls' friend Carly out to play with us too

CHEESE!!!
This is really the CUTEST thing and the funniest thing I've ever seen. When you get the camera out and go to take a picture of Trev, he says CHEESE and closes his eyes. I think he closes his eyes because when you smile, your eyes kind of squint. I laugh everytime. He is such a cute kid.
P.S. Yes his hair is red and staying red.

And They're Off!!!!
All Hallows Eve
We had a good Halloween this year. The weather was so perfect for a Halloween night. Couldn't have asked for better. The trick or treaters came in abundance even though we live at the end of the street at sort of a dead end. Our kids had fun dressing up. Riley was Sharpay from High School Musical. Cami was a witch and Trev was an adorable green frog. This year we were lucky enough to have Katie and Scott take our kids out trick or treating. What awesome parents these two are going to make. They were gone for about 30 minutes and when they came back the kids' eyes were huge with anticipation of dumping out their bags of candy. Trevor didn't care who's candy it was. If it looked good he wanted it. It was a fun night. Thanks again Katie and Scott. You guys are the best.
