The girls have been saying some cute things lately and I need to blog them so that I can always remember them. I know that if I don't blog them now I will forget them. So forgive me for being out of order.
A week or so ago Riley was talking about how she's learning about the world and the continents and all of that. Cami joined in on the conversation. This is how it went:
Riley: "There's North America and South America."
Chad: "Which one do we live on?"
Riley: "North."
Chad: "What country do we live in?"
Cami: "I know!!! The United STEAKS of America!"
Chad: " United STATES of America...good job Cami!"
I don't know...I sure like the sound of Cami's a lot better. Tasty!!!
Last night we were having family night. Riley was in charge of the lesson. She gave the lesson on the first Easter. She put the whole thing together on her own and we were very impressed. She talked about Christ and the Crucifixion...then the resurrection. She got to the part where Christ returns and visits the Americas. This is how it went:
Riley: "When Christ was resurrected he came and he visited the people of... was it the people of West Point or the people of Utah?"
Chad: (Chuckle)" The people in the Americas"
Riley: "So the Americans?"
Chad: "Yes"
Oh you have to LOVE the kiddos...They have such a simple view on things. I wish I could go back to those times. And who knows...West Point is a pretty RIGHTEOUS place... Maybe Christ did come here.

Trevor's 2...Buckle My Shoe
I can't believe that my baby boy is two! Two years ago I was in labor with this boy and two years ago I pushed out a tank of a baby. All 8 lbs. 2 ozs. of this handsome kid was healthy and three weeks early. There's just something about a baby boy that steals your heart. He has been a mama's boy from day one. I love it. He's always been a big boy and we are anxious to see just how big he'll get. He's a crack up too. We love watching him watch his sisters and trying to do what they do...for instance: pretending to be a gorilla, trying to keep up with them when they run around the house, dancing...Trev can cut some serious rug! He makes us smile as we watch him growing and learning. We can almost see the wheels turning in his head.
Trevor, we hope you have a great birthday. Keep making us smile and laugh. Keep growing and maturing your many talents. You are a great boy, son, and brother. Keep being happy. We all love you so much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOOSE!!!

I'll Never Let This Boy Go!!!
I was in the bathroom getting ready a few mornings ago, and Trevor and Cami were in the family room playing. I kept hearing Cami say "I'll never let this boy go" "I'll never ever let this boy go!" and then Trev would laugh. I snuck out to see what they were doing and this is what I saw.

Hopefully they get along like this in the future more often then not. Gotta LOVE these moments though!

I Am Unique
Riley had an assignment last month to find a poem she liked and memorize it, then draw a picture of something pertaining to the poem. I helped her remember a poem she learned in preschool called I am Unique and she came up with the drawing and everything on the poster. Then she had to stand up in front of the class and say the poem and show her picture. Everything was done 100 % by her. She's so talented. Great job Riley.

The poem goes like this:
I am unique, I am me
I'm as special as can be.
If in doubt, just look, you'll see
A totally, terrific, wonderful ME!!!

Paityn's Smiles
Paityn is growing so fast. I can't believe how big she already is. She smiles now and I love it. I love that she recognizes me and my voice. She is a great baby. She has started sleeping until 5 AM. She has a cold right now with a cough and hopefully it won't get any worse. She is such a sweetie. We all love her.

Signs of Spring
Spring hasn't sprung quite yet...but it's springing. I LOVE spring!!! I love that the kids can go outside again. I love that the sun shines through the windows all day. I love that I can maybe crack the windows open a bit to let in some fresh air. I love the flowers popping up through the dirt. I love it all. So I was so excited to take these pictures of the kiddos while they were enjoying a nice spring day.

B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!
Paityn's 2 Month Check-up
Paityn had her two month visit last week. She is weighing in at a whopping 10 lbs. 7 ozs. Which means she's gained 4 lbs. since birth. Way to go Pait!! She got her shots and was a tough little girl about it. Everything checked out and she is a healthy baby girl.
Round 2: The Treasure Hunt Continues
Here we are again talking about something we've found tucked away in this house. Since we moved in, the toilet in the front bathroom has been up and down, loose and stuck, running and plugged if you will...sorry for the puns. I had to... LET IT OUT!!! Hahaha. Anyway back to the story. So sometimes the toilet flushes and runs properly and then it would get plugged and we'd have to plunge it out and then it would work again. Only to repeat the pattern the next month. We blamed it on the kids using too much toilet paper, which may still be partly true. But then we thought, well there is crap stuffed everywhere else in this house, why not the toilet too? So we finally called a plumber to come take a look. He came in smelling like cigarettes and work...if you know what I mean...and began to poke around. He told me that there was a foreign object in the toilet. Foreign? I thought to myself. That could be anything to a toilet!! If it's not toilet paper or a turd it's foreign isn't it? Our warranty only pays if it's NOT a foreign object. Tough...break!!! I stood by as he took the toilet off of the floor and reached up inside. Anxiously hoping to see a wad of hundreds safely protected in a ziploc baggy. What was it you ask? Take a look and see...

Wanted: HELP!!!!!!
So I don't normally have a post without pictures...ever... but I just need some advice. HELP!!! Chad and I are at the end of our ropes with Trevor. We have been trying to get him to go to nursery and stay in nursery without us. Getting him to go into nursery is not a problem at all. He is BEGGING us to leave sacrament meeting and head for the toys and snacks right when the meeting begins. However if we dare leave him alone in the room or if for one second he loses sight of one of us he starts panicing. Panicing leads to rapid breathing. Rapid breathing leads to tears. Tears lead to all out SCREAMING. We are taking ANY and ALL advice now. What do we do to get him to let us leave him in nursery? How can we make him feel more comfortable? He's been going for7 months now...seriously???...7 months and he still can't be there by himself? He's almost 2 years old. Help me please. Any and all advice welcome.
