Riley's School Halloween Parade

Riley singing and dancing in her Halloween program... It was so cute. They sang about 10 songs and we had a great time and were very impressed with how well Riley knew all of the songs.
Riley and her best friend Kelsey in the parade
I told Riley that she needed to stop and smile at me when she saw me while she was in the parade. She actually did it. Usually she gets so shy that she doesn't smile and just acts like she doesn't see me. This year she made a big step and even made eye contact AND smiled while she was up on stage.

Carving Pumpkins

For Family Night we decided to carve some pumpkins. Luckily we only had two to carve this year. Chad and I finally wised up and thought that maybe we didn't NEED to get a pumpkin for every member of the family this year. So the girls drew the faces that they wanted and mom and dad carved them out for them. We had a lot of fun and almost everyone got messy...except Trev and mom.

Halloween Carnival

We went to the West Point halloween carnival and it was a lot of fun. The kids dressed up...minus Trev...and we went and played games and got candy and waited probably at least an hour for our turn with the balloon guy. Was it worth it?... for the kids it was. We hung out with friends and had a great time. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Trev + Graham Crackers = LOVE

Trevor's favorite snack is graham crackers. He sees me get the box out of the cupboard and he starts going crazy. He would eat them all day long if I let him. He always makes such a mess too...and Roxy loves that he always has crumbs in between his chubby fingers.

Our New Addition

Heeeeeeere's Roxy!!! We got our new puppy Roxy on Tuesday this week. She's so cute and the kids really LoVe here...especially Cami. She wants to carry Roxy around all day long and love her and poor Roxy is a little bit scared of her at the moment. Roxy LoVeS Trev and Trev LoVeS her too. He must smell really good to her because she just licks him and licks him and nibbles on his fingers and jumps on him. It's funny to watch but at the same time it's hard because Trevor just wants to grab hold of her and squeeze. She's been a lot of work so far. We have to keep a constant eye on her because she's not house trained yet. So that hasn't been fun but other then that we love our new addition.

Slumber Party!!!

A couple of weeks ago, my brother and sister in law went on a trip and asked if we could watch their girls. I said sure because they get along so well and they are very close in age to our girls. Kaelynn and Riley are 8 days apart and Hailey and Camden are 8 months apart. We had a blast. We ate pizza and played and even ventured to church...5 kids and Ali on a bench at church...WOW!!! But the good thing was that everyone was so well behaved. We never had any big fights or anything. I was so happy. We had a lot of fun hanging out with all the girls!!

Here we are ready for church!!!Cami, Hailey, Kaelynn, Riley and Trevor.

Eatin' breakfast

Who doesn't love pizza? And isn't it a rule that there is supposed to be pizza at a slumber party?

Everyone slept in one room so nobody would get scared...tight sleeping quarters.

FaMiLy TrAdItIoNs...

Every Year for the last three years, we've gone up around Trapper's Loop to look at all the pretty fall colors and take pictures of our family. The only thing wrong with this plan is that we can never get a FULL family picture. This year are plan was foiled by a couple who came to eat dinner in the same spot we were but they set up camp right in front of the spot I wanted to take pictures. We were hoping they'd be quick eaters...unfortunately they weren't. So we packed up and drove farther on the road trying to find a good spot full of color and EASY to get to. Well we came to the end and we found an AWESOME spot. There was this big rock and all the colors on the trees. So we took some pictures and tried to avoid getting bit by the mosquitos. It was a successful trip and we got some great pictures.

Cami's Birthday!!!

Cami's birthday was a success!! We had our families come over...the ones who lived close enough anyway... and we had hamburgers and hot dogs and everything was really yummy. Cami of course wanted a Dora birthday cake. Now in our family there is only ONE place to get a cake...Sam's Club. We got one of our wedding cakes at Sam's Club and every other cake since. We are BIG fans. "Chocolate cake with white whipped cream frosting"... it's the BEST you'll ever have...try it crave it love it!!!
Cami opened her presents from us on Sunday, her ACTUAL birthday. She got a new coat, an outfit, and some candy from Riley along with a special card handmade by Riley. Cami TOTALLY appreciated the effort.
Here's a picture of Cami blowing out her candles. I love this picture because it always happens with EVERY birthday party that when it's time to sing happy birthday and blow candles out or open presents all the kids just can't help themselve and form a complete wall around their prisoner. Everyone is blowing or ripping paper...it cracks me up.
