Dress Up Time!!!

Riley and her cousin Kaelynn were playing dress up one night and she came out in this number. My mom and I said that she looked like the girl on Never Been Kissed when she got ready for the prom. We laughed when she came walking down the stairs.
Cami likes to do whatever the older girls are doing. So naturally she wanted to dress up too. The big girls helped her and she came downstairs dressed like this. I love having girls and seeing how they dress up themselves to be "PRETTY". So fun.

An evening for the dogs...

Bark, bark, bark!!! Whenever my mom comes up to visit, my kids like to play this game with her where they pretend they're dogs and Grandma is the vet or the trainer. So my mom gets a handful of treats like cereal or cookies or something tastey and the girls line up and do tricks for treats. On this evening... Grandma was making them do tricks like roll over, fetch, shake hands, beg and play dead. The girls all have dog names for themselves and Grandma is supposed to remember all of them. They have so much fun and it's SO CUTE!!!

Bowling at the bowling "ALI"...

We decided to go bowling last weekend and the girls were so EXCITED!!! When Riley graduated from kindergarten, she got a pass to bowl for free everyday this summer. So we decided to take advantage of the free pass for two games and have a family outing. We got our shoes on and we were FINALLY able to find a ball for each of us. Riley was doing pretty good with rolling the ball down the lane with help from Chad. Then we found the little ramp and that helped us out a lot. With the ramp, Cami was able to bowl too. She liked that!! So her and Riley were on the same team and they actually did really well with sharing. I was anticipating a meltdown any minute, but it never came. After bowling, the girls wanted to play some arcade games. They played a few games and got some tickets. They took their few tickets to the counter and traded them in for some tootsie rolls and two rings to share. We had a pretty fun time and I'm sure we'll do it again soon. It is free after all.

It Still Fits!!!

My parents are here this week for some baby blessings. This time they remembered to bring up my wedding dress so that I can get it cleaned and boxed. I saw it last night and decided to set myself up for disappointment and try it on. When I put it on my mom said that there was no way that it was going to zip up. I sucked everything in and held my breath and with a lot of tugging the zipper went up. The only thing is...now I'm going to ruin the perfection of the picture...I could NOT breath once I got it all the way on. So I got it on and snapped a few pictures, started to see spots, and then took it off so I could regenerate my oxygen supply by taking lots of deep breaths. But atleast I can say it still fits...I did get it on!!! The girls of course loved it. They were excited that mommy now has a dress to dress up in with them.Fun times!!!

Happy Fourth of July

On the fourth we started the day with the 5K run that kicked my butt.I wanted to die.I was not feeling good at all that day. After the run we went to the parade and had a good time. After a short trip home for a shower we were all back at the park for some more horseshoes...Chad and Sam finished 3...and fun and food. We had a great day and really had fun. Especially when we won all the prizes. I hope we're as lucky next year.

The 3rd of July

On the 3rd of July we braved the heat and set out to the park in West Point for the West Point Days celebration. There was a free dinner and lots of entertainment... including face painting and music and a horseshoe tournament and that Chad was in. We stayed in the shade for the most part because once we got out to go play in the bounce houses or get the kids faces painted, we were soaking wet and dehydrated. So once it started to cool down, we started walking around and seeing what there was to do. The girls definately wanted there faces painted and they both wanted butterflies. Then we found a spot to put a blanket down on the grass and waited for the fireworks to start. It was a pretty good shoe. Way better than I'm used to growing up in Winters CA where the fireworks show is nothing more than a 5 minute performance of sparklers in the sky. All in all it was a lot of fun. We'll definately do it again next year but we'll pray for cooler weather.

The Big Winner

Yesterday was a big day for the kings. We won a ton of stuff. First I went to the 5k run and won third in my age group. It was a terrible run. It was hot, I was tired, and I didn't eat breakfast and I ended up stopping to dry heave about 3 times during the race and once after the race. I felt so bad the whole time. Atleast my two friends did good and we all ended up placing for our age groups. After the race there was a raffle and I won a pack of fireworks. I was excited about that because I never win anything. Then later, Chad was playing horseshoes at the park in a tournament and I went and bought 5 dollars worth of raffle tickets. So I got 6 tickets. About an hour or so later they called my name as the winner of a new video camera. I was excited about that because that's a pretty good prize. We decided to try and take that back since we already have two cameras but still we won a camera!!! Then later in the day, they did the last raffle for all the big prizes. Everyone in our big group was saying "Man I want that plasma tv." I hadn't even seen the tv. I wanted the patio furniture. Anyway they drew my name for the winner of the plasm tv and I threw my water bottle in the air, screamed and ran up to get my prize. the people doing the raffle said, "hey didn't you win the camcorder earlier today?" and I said yeah. Then they asked me how many tickets I bought and laughed after I told them that I only bought 6 tickets. Chad wasn't even there so I got to call him and tell him and he couldn't believe it. We are so lucky. So now we had fireworks to set off and a new camera to put money in our pockets after we return it and a brand new 32 inch plasma tv to enjoy for our viewing pleasure. What a day!!!
