Pineview

My friend Lea and I decided to take our kids to Pineview last week for a day in the sun. We had so much fun. The kids ran right to the water and played in it for the three or so hours we were there. They even saw 5 or 6 huge fish right by the shore. They had fun trying to scare them away not realizing that all they had to do was jump in and swim and they'd go away. Trevor didn't really go in the water. He'd rather just stay up by me and play in the sand. I realized I like the lake far better then going to the pool. There are fewer kids and that makes it easier to keep an eye on mine. There is shade so I can keep Paityn in the shade and sit in the shade myself and still be able to see my kids. And it's way easier to keep an eye on Trev since he plays in the sand right by me. So much easier and less stressful.

Riley and Kaelynn's Baptism

On July 10, 2010, Riley Ann King was baptized and confirmed and member of the church. What a special day it was. Riley and her cousin Kaelynn were born 8 days apart so we decided to have them baptized on the same day so that everyone could be here for both. Riley was so sweet and pure and beautiful. Everything went so perfect. Riley was baptised first and she looked so little in the water. It was very emotional for both Chad and I. It was a neat experience.
We love you so much Riley and we are very proud of you for making this choice to be baptised. You are on the right path. You are such a special girl and we love you so much. Keep doing what is right.

What a beautiful girl

The 4th of July

I know it's well past the 4th of July but I still need to blog it so bare with me. This year all of the goings on at the park were on one day...the 3rd. So we went to the park and got the kid's faces painted, played Bingo, Chad and Sam were in the horse shoes tournament again this year so we watched that, then later that night we all enjoyed sloppy joes and chips at the annual BBQ at the park. After that we went home and had some friends over for sparklers and fireworks. We had a fun time and we had the best seat in the city for the firework and we really enjoyed the show.

Second trip to Willard Bay

Kim and Shad were so nice to take us out again to Willard Bay. The weather that day was terrible for wake boarding but we tried anyway. I did not have a very good attempt. I got up and tried to stay in the wake this time...amd I did for about 5 seconds and then as soon as I crossed out of the wake I crashed...hard...on my face. I tried 4-5 times with the same result and finally gave up. Next...knee boarding!! Thanks Kim and Shad for taking us out. Kim, sorry for making you watch the kids and not getting a chance to wake board because the weather was so bad. Next time we'll leave all the kids with a sitter.

Lagoon

The day after Willard Bay, we went to Lagoon. This has become a King family tradition for the last 6-7 years I believe. The kids LOVE it. A special shout out to Katie and Kathy who worked the beginning of the summer at Lagoon to get us tickets for this day. We all had fun and made some good memories: Lia riding Wicked and LOVING it...crazy girl. Chad, Tyler, Katie and I shooting in the three point competition...Chad tying the record and me only making one shot... a major disappointment.Cami and I riding the Ladybug Bop and Cami laughing because she was scared and it was cracking me up to the point of tears.Riding rattle snake rapids and as we were approaching the waterfall realizing that it was lined up right on Cami and Trev and I. Cami and Trev weren't liking the ride already so I lunged myself up and over them and got soaked by the waterfall. They both cried anyway. It was a great time. We can't wait for next year.

Willard Bay

In June we went to Willard Bay and went wake boarding and tubing. We were the first people to go out on Kim and Shad's boat that day. Shad asked if anyone wanted to go tubing. Cami Riley And Tanner all declined and Lia said "fine, I'll go by myself." And so she did and she did awesome. Even when it dipped into the water and she fell off to the side. We reeled her in and she wanted to go right back out on it. Cami and Chad went together after that and the tube took a nose dive into the wake and cami and Chad were completely submerged. Chad had to rip Cami's hands off the handle and they bobbed in the water for a minute all the while Cami crying and swearing she would never ever do that again. Riley eventually tried in too and she did not get dunked. It was a fun outing for all of us and especially the cousins. We missed Tyler and Kelly and Jaxon though. Next time maybe we won't have any drama.

We all had a great time. Thanks Kim and Shad for bringing the boat. We will have to do it again soon.
