That's What You Get For Waking Up In VEGAS!!

Dear Chad,

We couldn't believe that the day had come, to celebrate ten years of bliss.
When figuring out how to celebrate, all signs pointed to VEGAS!!
There's plenty to do, we won't be bored, and we could see Celine.
We packed our bags, said goodbye to the kids, off to a room we wouldn't have to clean.
We arrived at the strip and found our resort and were in awe of our room.
When people asked if we just wed, we'd say "nope, this is our SECOND honeymoon!"
Like two newlyweds, we were beaming as bright as the lights of Vegas.
We laid out by the pool, hung out with friends, and had fun just being "US".
We saw Celine, had some drinks by the pool and achieved the "goals" we set.
Ate good food, smiled and laughed and reminisced about how we met.
This trip was AWESOME, I had a blast, that city NEVER ages.
I could say more, but I just can't, so I'll just end with this...
In case anyone asks and you don't want to tell because it's our own business.
Just look at them and say with a smile...What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!

Chad and I decided to go to Vegas to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We purchased Celine tickets and mapped out a plan of all the things we wanted to do. We were so excited to get away for a while. We did so many fun things.

This is one of the pools at the resort. We stayed at the Wyndham resort and it was SUPER nice.

Laying out

We also got to go do a session at the Vegas temple. What a neat experience. It was so beautiful and I am so glad that we found the time to go. I will never forget it.

Chad and Dr. C-Rat Johnston

We also got to hang out with two of the best people I know. Collin was a basketball teammate of Chad's at Ricks way back in the day. Collin and his wife Kathryn and their four ADORABLE kiddos live in Vegas right now while Collin finishes up his schooling to become a doctor. Collin and Kathryn were one of the first people that we went and told them about us being engaged. So fun to remember the good old days. We had so much fun surprising you guys, laughing with, swimming with hanging out with eating with, making new memories and inside jokes (things like where as, and we call it TI...) and just catching up with you guys. You guys are awesome and we can't wait for the next time.
Here we all are at the buffet. I gave Chad such a hard time about this picture because he has his arm around Dr. Johnston but not me. What the?...You can totally tell that the wives had no place in this photo.
CELINE!!!
This is Chad and I in front of the Colosseum where Celine performs. This is the day after the concert though. We weren't aloud to bring in our camera so we left it at the hotel. LAME!! So we came back the next day and took pictures.
This is the volcano in front of the mirage. It was so cool to watch. They recently upgraded it so we had to go watch. I was amazing. The heat that radiated from the blasts was insane.

We went to Treasure Island (Known as TI to the natives) to watch their pirate show. It was LAME!! Don't waste your time. The pirate ships were cool though.
We decided that it would be fun to make our own drinks to take out to the pool. I'm so glad we did. They were so good. We had a full and loaded kitchen in our room.
This was the family room of our room.
These shutters were in the wall in between the master suite and the master bathroom...What's on the other side you ask?
Check out this tub. It was HUGE! The tub had it's own room, that's how big it was. Then a whole different room for a huge shower and toilet. It was crazy.
Our bedroom. This bed was so comfortable. Some other things that out room had were two big tv's, a big stereo, views of the pools, and a laundry room. It was so nice. We will definitely be staying there again.
Here's the view from our bedroom. Super nice pools.
We also made it to the Pawn Stars pawn shop. We were disappointed that the stars of the show were all away on vacation, but we can still say that we've been to the shop.

Us with the show time poster.

Our kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa King. They were spoiled. They got to go to the dinosaur park, to the movies, to the tree house museum, on a hike and a picnic. Thank you Jim and Kathy for watching them. We know they had so much fun. We stopped by the M&M store to get the kiddos a present. We found this airplane candy dispenser and couldn't resist. The kids LOVED it and we went through a whole large bag of M&M's in two days. We missed these little punks while we were gone.

Thanks for the second honeymoon Chad. I had so much fun. I was so nice to get away and just be together. We need to do much more often. The worst part about vacations is when they're over, then you don't have anything to look forward to anymore. So let's plan another one...NOW!!

Bear Lake

As a family we went up to Bear lake and stayed in a cabin for three days. The cabin was super nice and had enough rooms for every family to have a room. All the older kids slept in the huge loft so that was nice. There was a ping pong table and other toys for the kids to play with. We had so much fun in the cabin, it was so nice. We did venture outside though and had a few fun filled days to take in bear lake. We went four wheeling, boating, hiking, swimming and biking. We got our fill and had a blast.

Trev in front of the cabin. He is such a poser.

All of us on the bike. This bike was awesome. It held all 8 of us and was a pretty smooth ride. It didn't go very fast though...especially when someone (Kathy) wasn't pedaling.
Chaddy and Ri looking cute on the ride.
Trev and Pait ready to go.

Paityn and I on our way to the cave.

awesome view
Ready to go on our hike into the cave.
It was 40 degrees in the cave, the girls were so cold. Luckily we remembered sweatshirts.

In the very bottom room of the cave. This is right before I tripped over Trev and sent him flying into a puddle of freezing cold muddy water in the ground. He got wet and dirty. Poor kiddo. I felt so bad.
Cami on the boat.
Riley loved being the flag girl on the boat.
Me and my man.
Cami and I on our turn with the four wheeler.
The two boys

Chad and Cam enjoying some of Chad's AWESOME homemade ice cream.

After Bear Lake, we took our little family on a detour to Tony Grove. It was so pretty and there was still a ton of snow on the ground. It was crazy. We were all wearing flip flops and walking in snow. This is us having lunch by the lake.
Trev and Daddy skipping rocks.
Trev loved the snow. Luckily he had boots on.

We also stopped at our first apartment. After Chad and I got married we moved into Aggie Village and this is the apartment we got. It was on the second floor 37C.It was in this apartment that we started school, got snowed in, witnessed 9-11, made lasting friendships, welcomed our first born and had so many other great memories. We loved Logan and we will always cherish the memories we made while living there.
