Spring is in the Air

I forgot to post these pictures so they're a little out of order. But I have to post them. All spring, we've noticed little duck couples waddling around our neighborhood. We've had these little visitors on our lawn almost every morning. It's so fun to look outside and see them there. The kids LOVE it. They go out and chase them and feed them. It's been fun. At a few of our neighbors' houses, a mother duck has layed eggs in their gardens. That's been neat to see. I took a picture of the mother duck laying on her eggs in the nest. You can barely even see her. A few days after I took the picture however, something came and ate the eggs. Very sad. But it's still neat to see them out and about. Maybe next year we'll get a mother duck to nest in our yard.

Here's the mother duck...look hard, she's hidden really well

Katie the California Goat Lady

My parents have some neighbors that have a daughter that I went to school with. Her name is Katie and she raises goats. We went on a ride up to see her goats one day. There were a TON of baby goats. Trevor was in heaven. He loved being in there petting them.It was crazy to see that many goats.

Trip to California

Two weeks agao I bummed a ride to California with my best friend Jen. She had to go help her brother's wife who is preggers with TRIPLETS living in Monterey. I had her drop me off by my parent's house and she drove another two hours to her brother's. A week later she came and picked me up and spent a day or so with me at my family's place. We had 6 kiddos in tow. It was a crazy but fun trip.

My mom mowed the lawn with Trev. They made it one time around and Trev fell asleep. That's typical for kids who try to mow the lawn with grandma.

Trev and his cousin Kylee...they look like twins.

Trev...see the fireplace in the background? My grandma has one just like it and one morning it was cold so she had it burnin and he touched it after I told him not to. He burned all four of his fingers on the one hand. They blistered big time. He didn't cry a single tear or whimper. Tough kid!!

Spring Break/ Easter... (Catch up time)

The kids had a good time this year on Easter. They got up and searched high and low for the eastr goodies. This year they each got a new swim suit and beach bag. I wonder how the Easter bunny knew they all needed a new swim suit and beach bag this year for our trip to Mexico? Smart Easter bunny.

Every year for Easter, we have the kids dye eggs for the Easter bunny to hide. Every year we forget to set the eggs out for the Easter Bunny to hide and they stay in our fridge until we throw them away. Do you think this year was any different? Nope. We dyed our eggs and had them so cute, then we left them in the fridge and the Easter bunny wasn't able to hide them. We threw them away a week later. Oh well, maybe next year we'll do it right.

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa King's house for a family Easter Egg hunt on Saturday before Easter. It was so much fun. The kids all got books and candy and toys. The weather was cold so we had to have the Easter egg hunt downstairs in their basement but it was still fun.

The day before Easter, West Point City had a huge Easter egg hunt. I took my kids and we braved the FREEZING weather. It was so cold outside. The kids filled their baskets and we ran back home to get warmed up and see what they had found. They got candy and little toys and gift certificates for a free game of bowling. It was awesome. They had fun and it was so nice to be able to just walk over and not have to deal with the crowds of people and line of cars.

Mom we're FREEZING

Over the Spring school break, we decided to take the kiddos to the swimming pool. We went with Kim and her boys and Hilary and her kids. Katie also came swimming with us. The kids had a blast. They went down the slide, played in the whirl pool, and played on the big pool toy. Trevor slipped and fell and hit his head on the bar but he is tough and got up and started playing again. The kids had fun and it was fun watching them play with their cousins.

We also went bowling and used the kids' free bowling passes. It was fun and the kids loved it. Trevor loved using the ramp. Everyone had to help though and it got a little crazy. Trevor threw a fit until he got his own bowling shoes and then he was happy. After bowling we played a few arcade games. With their tickets the kids bought candy...of course.
