"Our" Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday this year is also conference weekend. So last Sunday I got the kids dressed in their Easter clothes and they looked so cute. Our camera stopped working so we didn't get very many good shots. This one was the best. Chad said that Trev's outfit looked a little flamboyant...It was a little colorful but he worked it and looked so handsome. My kids are the cutest ever!!!

Chad's 32nd Birthday

This year Chad turned 32. He's alright with aging...unlike me. Chad didn't want a big to do for his birthday so we went out to dinner at Red Robin with the kids. Then we came home and he opened his cards. The kids love writing notes to Chad especially Riley. She's so emotionally tied to him and she loves to give him notes that say how much she loves him. Hopefully he had a good day and got what he wanted.

32!!! WOW!!

Ali's 29th Birthday

I turned TWENTY NINE this year. I am not happy about it either. Next year is going to be even worse...THIRTY!! YIKES!! For my birthday this year, I got to sleep in and enjoy my morning. When I got up there was a sign and balloons on my front door from my best friend Jen.(Thanks Jen). I opened my cards from my cute kiddos and Chad and I also got an under the cabinet CD player. I've been wanting one of those forever. I love it. I then got ready for the day and was taken out to lunch by Jen. We went to Chick Fil A...where else is there? YUMMY!!! I came home and got changed and Chad and I were able to go to the temple and then out to dinner. We went to the Prairie Schooner (is that how you spell it?) It was a fun birthday and I have already informed Chad that next year better be PACKED with celebrations.

More Party!!!

Also at Paityn's blessing, we celebrated Trevor's birthday. We bought two cakes. One for the party guests and one for Trev to enjoy. Trevor's was supposed to be a dinosaur but looked more like a dragon. It was still really cute and he loved it.

Paityn's Blessing

We had Paityn's blessing day on the 7 of March. It was a great day. We had most of our family members in attendance. Paityn was a little fussy with a tummy ache that morning and she was spitting up a ton. She spit up on her dress twice. She did AWESOME during her blessing. She didn't make a peep. After the blessing we came home and had a party. We had tons of food and tons of people. It was great being able to see everyone and visit. It's not very often that we can get both families together like that. It was a great day.

Plane Crash

One morning after breakfast, the weather was perfect for some plane flying. So Chad charged his plane and took all the kiddos outside to the park to give it a try. All the kids were able to fly the plane. But it was Chad who ran the plane into the tree and got it stuck. So he climbed the tree and got it out. But it was harder to get back out and down from the tree then it was to get up. Eventually he got back down and was able to fly the plane again...avoiding all other trees.

Swimming at the hotel

My parents and grandparents came up to visit for Trev's birthday and Paityn's blessing. My grandparents stayed at a hotel in Layton. The kids were very excited to take advantage of that situation and swim as much as possible. So here are some pictures of the fun times.

Trevor's B-Day Party!!

I know these pictures are out of order on this post but I just don't want to fix them. So this is Trevor's birthday party with us. I decorated the table and we wrapped the presents and ate pizza and had green cupcakes. Trevor still hasn't grasped the concept of a birthday but I tried making a big deal out of it because it's HIS birthday and everyone deserves a special day. He opened his presents and LOVED his tool box that Chad picked out for him. It came with a drill that actually drills in AND out the screws into the toolbox. Then we sang happy birthday and he blew out his candles and ate cake. All in all it was a great day.

The girls have been saying some cute things lately and I need to blog them so that I can always remember them. I know that if I don't blog them now I will forget them. So forgive me for being out of order.
A week or so ago Riley was talking about how she's learning about the world and the continents and all of that. Cami joined in on the conversation. This is how it went:
Riley: "There's North America and South America."
Chad: "Which one do we live on?"
Riley: "North."
Chad: "What country do we live in?"
Cami: "I know!!! The United STEAKS of America!"
Chad: " United STATES of America...good job Cami!"
I don't know...I sure like the sound of Cami's a lot better. Tasty!!!

Last night we were having family night. Riley was in charge of the lesson. She gave the lesson on the first Easter. She put the whole thing together on her own and we were very impressed. She talked about Christ and the Crucifixion...then the resurrection. She got to the part where Christ returns and visits the Americas. This is how it went:
Riley: "When Christ was resurrected he came and he visited the people of... was it the people of West Point or the people of Utah?"
Chad: (Chuckle)" The people in the Americas"
Riley: "So the Americans?"
Chad: "Yes"
Oh you have to LOVE the kiddos...They have such a simple view on things. I wish I could go back to those times. And who knows...West Point is a pretty RIGHTEOUS place... Maybe Christ did come here.

Trevor's 2...Buckle My Shoe

I can't believe that my baby boy is two! Two years ago I was in labor with this boy and two years ago I pushed out a tank of a baby. All 8 lbs. 2 ozs. of this handsome kid was healthy and three weeks early. There's just something about a baby boy that steals your heart. He has been a mama's boy from day one. I love it. He's always been a big boy and we are anxious to see just how big he'll get. He's a crack up too. We love watching him watch his sisters and trying to do what they do...for instance: pretending to be a gorilla, trying to keep up with them when they run around the house, dancing...Trev can cut some serious rug! He makes us smile as we watch him growing and learning. We can almost see the wheels turning in his head.
Trevor, we hope you have a great birthday. Keep making us smile and laugh. Keep growing and maturing your many talents. You are a great boy, son, and brother. Keep being happy. We all love you so much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOOSE!!!
