Catch Up Time

I am playing catch up for right now. These pictures are not in order of when they happened. But at least I have them on here and I can stop stressing out about getting current on my blog.

The girls had fun with water balloons. I remember doing this when I was little too. First Riley did it and then Cami and then what do you know here comes Paityn with a balloon in her suit. Then Trev started to put some in his swim shirt and I immediately put a stop to that. They have been having fun swimming this summer and playing with water balloons. I'm glad that I caught this moment in photos.

We got our family vacation in early this year since the baby was coming soon. We got to go to Wolf Creek and stay in Sandy and Vern's condo there. It was so nice to get away and we had so much fun. The kiddos and Chad went swimming and I laid out in the sun to try and get tan before the baby came. It was so relaxing. Funny story, we left around 10 that morning and drove all the way to the condo, pulled in and parked and started to get out of the car when Chad realized that we didn't have the key to get into the place. So back into the car we got and headed back down the canyon. The kids immediately started complaining about being car sick. So Chad pulled over and the kids and I climbed out at a park and stayed there in the shade while Chad drove back home to get the key. It was a little stressful to say the least but we remained calm and happy and an hour later we were unloaded and eating lunch in the condo. We had so much fun. Big thanks to Sandy and Vern.

Trev was so excited about the cement truck. He had a blast watching them work.

We finally got our cement poured and our basketball hoop put up. I was so excited and so was Chad. I still have yet to play since I have been out of commision for a few weeks but the first came is coming up and it'll be a good one. We love our new hoop. Thanks Jake Shepherd for helping us out.
Jim and Kathy took Chad and the kids to Lagoon one day. I didn't go because I was large and uncomfortable and I wouldn't have had any fun or been any fun to be around. So I missed out. The kids had so much fun and all of them went on the rides this year. Apparently we have a daredevil on our hands because Paityn was fearless and went on every ride she was tall enough for. She is crazy. I'm so happy they had fun though. Thanks Honey for taking the kiddos and letting me have a relaxing night.

Double Digits

I'm having a hard time believing that my baby girl is really 10 years old. Time really does fly. It seems like it wasn't long ago, that Riley was sitting on my lap singing primary songs. Now she's going to be in the 5th grade. It's so crazy. But we sure do love watching her grow up. Dear Riley, Has it been 10 years already? 10 years since your dad and I became parents? 10 years since the first time I saw you and held you and kissed you? You made me a mother Riley and I am so blessed to have you as my daughter. You are one of a kind that's for sure. You are so independent (when you want to be) and so self motivated (when you want to be). You are a great student and very smart. I know that I can be hard on you a lot of the time, that 's only because you are the oldest and I want the best for you. Also because your brother and sisters are watching every little thing you do and they want to be like you. So I want you to be the best you so they can have an awesome example to follow, which they do. You are a great daughter Riley. I know I don't tell you that enough. You really are. You are a great example to me and I hope that we can continue to have a great relationship as the years go on. I'm excited to see you start to find yourself. You are figuring out the talents that you have been blessed with. You are such a great friend and you have a ton of them. You are a blessing Riley, to me and the rest of our family. I love you and hope that you have a great year with many many dreams comes true. Love, Mom

34 Weeks Preggers

This was a few weeks ago but I thought I'd still post it. As an update, I'm so done being pregnant. My back is still giving me grief and it's making it hard to get around these days. Rolling over in bed or even getting comfortable in bed is pretty much not happening these days. I am now 36 weeks and things are starting to happen. I went to the doctor last Thursday and he said that I was dilated to a two. I haven't even started doing my magic to get things rollin. So I have been taking it easy this week and I go again on Monday June 11 for another check up. Next week I will be 37 weeks and that is when the last three kiddos have come. I'm so excited to see this little girl. I'm excited for my body to be able to function without pain. So I'm really hoping that she decided to come next week. Here's to wishing!!

Poor Sweet P

Almost a week ago the kids wanted to jump on the trampoline with the sprinklers on underneath. So they got in the swim suits and we got the sprinkler on and they were having a good time. Chad and I went in the house and Chad saw out of the corner of his eye Trev and Pait collide. We ran out and I ran straight to Pait. Riley and Cami tried to help her get up but she was like a boxer who just got his bell rung. She staggered and fell and I had to drag her off the trampoline. Her mouth was filled with blood. She was crying. Her eyes were dazed and she kept saying "I want to go home!" Trevor had jumped into her and his head hit her square in the chin, leaving her dazed and confused. We couldn't tell where the blood was coming from in her mouth. We gave her an otter pop and got her to settle down. Checked her for a concussion and made sure she was ok. She came back around within five minutes or so. I was able to get a good look in her mouth and saw that she had bit all the way through her tongue on the side. Almost taking the whole side chunk off. It was pretty bad. Chad didn't want to look. We got the bleeding to stop and she instantly wanted to go back outside and jump on the trampoline. We decided that sitting on the porch swing eating her otter pop to help her tongue feel better was a better idea. She's a tough cookie though. I absolutely hate the helpless feeling I get when my children get hurt and I'm unable to take the pain away or keep it from happening in the first place. But she made it through with a nice scar on her tongue to show for it.
This is right after the bleeding stopped.
These pictures don't do it justice. They were taken two days after it happened, but you can still see where she almost bit it right off.
